FAQs

When will my child be entitled to the 15 hour Free Entitlement Funding?

Your child will be entitled to receive the 15 hours of free government funding from the term after their third birthday. The cut off dates are as follows: 31st December, 31st March, 31st August. So, if your child’s birthday was 10th November they would be entitled from the following January. If your child’s birthday was 8th March, they would be entitled from April and if your child’s birthday was 10th April they would be entitled from the following September

How do I know if I am entitled to the Extended 30 hour Funding?

Please visit the GOV.UK website and type in 30 hours free childcare. This has all the information regarding eligibility and when to apply and also the online application form to complete. If you are entitled you will be issued with a code. Our pre-school can offer the full 30 hrs of childcare subject to availability, so always check that we have space first, alternatively the funding can be split between two childcare providers.

How often/when will I be invoiced for fee paying sessions?

If you are not entitled to free funding to cover your sessions and we need to invoice you, an invoice will be issued at the start of each new half term. We charge our fees in advance and the invoice can be paid by BACS or cash, a receipt will be issued.

When should I register my child for a place at pre-school?

If you would like your child to attend our two year old sessions in Teddy Tots, please request and complete a Registration Form anytime after your child is one. If you require a space in our Busy Bears sessions for three and four year olds, please complete a form once your child is two. Our spaces do get filled quickly, so once you have completed a form and returned it to us you will be on our waiting list and we will then contact your closer to the time that your child will be due to start.
